Electrical and electronic equipment manufacturing

Adhesives are the fundamental materials that support the electronics industry. They are widely used in the electronics and electrical appliances sector, from chip manufacturing to large-scale end-use electronic and electrical products, all of which require the use of adhesives.

Requirements for adhesives

Adhesives are the fundamental materials that support the electronics industry. They are widely used in the electronics and electrical appliances sector, from chip manufacturing to large-scale end-use electronic and electrical products.

Due to the production and manufacturing characteristics of electronic and electrical products, the use of adhesives is required to be simple, efficient, stable, safe and environmentally friendly. Therefore, various curing methods have been applied, such as moisture curing, thermal curing, ultraviolet light curing, two-component chemical reaction type curing, etc. To improve production efficiency and product quality, various dispensing equipment and curing equipment have been widely used, which to a certain extent has also promoted the expansion of the application of electronic and electrical adhesives.

The application of adhesives in electronic and electrical products has expanded beyond simple bonding, sealing and encapsulation protection, gradually moving towards functional directions such as heat conduction, electrical conductivity, magnetic conduction, optics, electromagnetic shielding, and common coating films.

Because the adhesive directly comes into contact with the electronic components, it is generally required to be an insulating material. Some of them also have requirements for dielectric constant and dielectric loss performance.Electronic products are mainly composed of high-precision electronic components. The coefficient of expansion of the base material varies greatly, and the working temperature range is wide (-40 to 250℃). There are also high requirements for the linear expansion coefficient and internal stress of the adhesive. Otherwise, it will affect the stability of the electronic products.According to the safety regulations, electronic and electrical adhesives must meet the relevant flame retardant grade requirements to prevent serious fires in case of electrical short circuits or malfunctions.
