It has been widely applied in fields such as construction, transportation, mechanical manufacturing, electronics and electrical engineering, textiles, healthcare, aerospace, etc.
➤ Application in architecture. Organic silicon building sealant has outstanding resistance to ultraviolet rays and climate aging. It can remain undamaged, undented and unbrittle for 30 years in the presence of sunlight, ozone, rain, snow and harsh climates. It not only has an extremely wide operating temperature range (-64 to 205℃), but also has 100% resistance to deformation over a wide temperature range. Therefore, it has been widely used in the construction industry and can be used as a joint sealant, waterproofing and leak-proof material, a sealing material for embedding glass in metal window frames, and a sealing material for hollow glass components, etc
➤ Application in transportation vehicles manufacturing. Organic silicone adhesives are mainly used for on-site molding of sealing gaskets and for bonding and sealing of automotive engines, windshields, doors, rearview mirrors, exhaust pipes, headlights, instruments, and other equipment that are prone to water exposure. At the same time, organic silicone adhesives have excellent water resistance and lubricant resistance, and can be used in systems with water as the medium such as water pumps and water tanks, as well as in systems with lubricating oil as the medium such as engines, gearboxes, camshafts, transformers, and hydraulic systems.
➤ Applications in electricity. Organic silicone adhesives have excellent insulation and heat insulation properties, resulting in a low thermal expansion coefficient; their waterproof performance enables the cured gel to effectively prevent condensation water from entering; their corrosion resistance ensures their long-term operation in acidic and salty environments; their outstanding aging resistance allows their service life to reach up to 50 years. Therefore, organic silicone adhesives are mainly used for insulation, moisture-proof sealing, environmental protection and anti-corrosion, encapsulation and bonding of cable accessory products, etc.
➤ Applications in the electronics industry. Organic silicone adhesives are widely used in this field for encapsulation, injection, bonding, impregnation and coating. At the same time, when using organic silicone adhesives to encapsulate integrated circuits, thick film components, electronic assemblies or complete machines, the components within the adhesive layer are clearly visible, allowing for accurate detection of component parameters; using organic silicone adhesives for bonding, fixation, filling, sealing, good insulation, leak prevention, shock resistance, and long-term use in harsh conditions.
➤ Applications in aerospace field. Using room-temperature silicone adhesives as sealants can withstand the harsh conditions such as intense temperature fluctuations, ablation, and radiation in aerospace applications. The thermal conductivity of the ablative insulation coating based on silicone adhesives is low and the construction is convenient. It can be used for the tail nozzle of rockets and the insulation materials for returnable space launch vehicles to protect against ablation, and it is also an important material for manufacturing components of spacecraft.
➤ Applications in medicine. Organic silicone adhesives are widely used in various fields due to their excellent comprehensive properties, such as being non-toxic, odorless, physiologically inert, and stable to bactericides. They are applied in plastic surgery, dental impression materials, materials for blocking blood vessels leading to organs or tissues affected by tumors, and the manufacturing of artificial corneas, etc.
➤ In addition, the organic silicone adhesive can be mixed into an emulsion to treat paper, serving as a paper isolation agent with anti-sticking properties, being used as a padding paper during the production of foam plastics and artificial leather, and also applicable for packaging sticky materials and as backing paper for self-adhesive trademarks and labels, as well as for the backing paper of pressure-sensitive adhesives; it can also be used as the mold material for the shaping of artificial leather, with fine patterns and good simulation effect; it can also be used as the soft mold material for replicating prototypes of handicrafts, ancient relics, etc.
